Dr. Emily Quartermaine (formerly Smith and Cassadine, born Emily Bowen) is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. The role was originated by Amber Tamblyn in 1995, Natalia Livingston resumed the role in 2003, after Tamblyn left in 2001. Livingston won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy for her portrayal of Emily in 2005.
Nikolas Mikhail Stavrosovich Cassadine is a fictional character on the long-running American soap opera General Hospital. The role was originated by Tyler Christopher, who played the character from 1996-1999, and then after a four-year hiatus resumed the role in 2003 and is the current actor. Stephen Martines played the role from 1999 to 2003, and Chris Beetem temporarily took over the character in December 2005.
